Carl has not been a good bookkeeper of HOA financial records. There have been a lot of mistakes. Rich interjected that Carl is his accountant and that he does a good job and we do not need to hire a new bookkeeper. Karen wants Deb to attend our next meeting to discuss with the board Carl’s shortcomings, Rich said that is not necessary. It will be discussed again further at a future meeting.

Questions and Comments:
Karen: The website is not up to date. We need an IT person on the board to keep the website and its content current. Rich said he would take care of the HOA website. Lisa: Can we use HOA funds for families that need help paying their HOA dues? No, because HOA funds can only be used for the benefit of the entire community, not individual homeowners. Rich suggested a Go Fund Me account that neighbors could donate to. Families needing assistance would be chosen on a case by case basis. Karen suggested opening a separate bank account for those funds under our nonprofit status so those that donate can write it off on their taxes.
Trunk or Treat Community Fall Festival:
Last year was a lot of fun and it would be great to host it again. Steph and Tyler planned last years event. Anyone that wants to help plan this year, get together with Steph. Final decision regarding Covid19 TBD.
